Vintage Military Brass Belt Buckle Ratchet Style for Web Strap Nice Patina

VINTAGE MILITARY BRASS BUCKLE
SOLID BRASS - MID 20TH CENTURY - MADE IN U.S.A.
I don't know much about this buckle which does not seem to have a stamp or mark, but it belonged to my dad who went to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis and served in the US Navy for 20 years in the 60s and 70s. He did have a lot of WWII items so this buckle could be of an earlier vintage.
Some online listings bill this style buckle as US Marines Corp.
Measures 1 3/4 " X 1 1/2 "
Nice and solid, with a lovely patina on the brass.
