Vintage METAL RIDING TOY SEAT. 8 3/4 inches wide. Green paint. Very solid. Very good condition and clean.
Measures 8 3/4 inches wide by 8 inches from tip of horn to back of seat. The horn tapers from 3 inches at the seat to 1 1/2 inches before the end. The back of the seat has a 1 3/8ths inches rise. The metal pin, underneath, is 3 1/2 inches long. The seat weighs 1 pound 3 ounces.
The top has wear, on the paint, at the top back edge and some scuffed/chipped paint loss in other areas. Green paint retention is about 95 % of painted area.
The underside has surface rust. I would call it of MEDIUM density. Beyond light spotty patches but far from weakening the metals. The brace welds are still strong with no movement of the metal pin.
The seat has retained it's original shape. There are no dents or repairs. I find two shallow dings on the surface.
This sturdy seat is clean and ready for service or restoration.
