****  PICTURE SHOWN OF WHEEL IS now for correct  rubber TIRE ROPE -- (for TOY VEHICLES)  This listing is for the smaller piece  that is on the ruler .-- YOU CUT TO LENGTH NEEDED FOR YOUR RIM       1 BID = 3ft LENGTH   SLIGHTLY LESS THAN  5/32" DIAMETER.  very simple to use -- took me less than 2 minutes to do this 1 wheel.   Wheel shown is 1-1/2" diameter .   Tire rope shown on ruler is grey.  The way it works is you cut the rope with a slight bevel (equal spot on each side so that the ribs line up when pressed together. What holds the ends together is a stiff, bent nail OR stiff wire. I prefer a small 7/8 to 1 inch galvanized nail bent on a curve to match wheel curve (the galvanized adds some roughage to hold the pieces together).  I use nails or wire that are only slightly larger than rope hole, so that it grabs, but doesn't increase the tire diameter. You could even drill the tire out if your nail is too thick. You should also add some sort of adhesive/glue.  For these PICTURES  I didn't use glue so you could see the joint.  When glued , put pressure to ensure a tight fit. Possibly super glue or if using a slower drying material, try duct taping until dried.
