    Description

    The APS-40HF is a diffraction ring tweeter, AKA bullet tweeter, made in Russia for high end HiFi applications. The manufacturer data sheet states it has a frequency response from 4 KHz to 25 KHz at 110 dB/W/M efficiency.  Recommended cross-over frequency is 5 KHz  with a 18 dB/8ave high pass network. Average power rating is 40W from an edge wound, flat wire, copper clad 51mm aluminum voice coil suspended in a 600g ferrite magnet producing a fully symmetric field with 2 flux dampening rings. The surround is polyamide with a 300W peak power rating. This tweeter is designed for rear mounding in 18mm or 12mm thick  enclosure face. Some shop wear is evident in the photos.
