    They came from four small Massachusetts communities, and played college hockey together at Boston University. But two days in February transformed them from local celebrities into American heroes. On February 22, Mike Eruzione, Jim Craig, Dave Silk, and Jack O'Callahan played for an underdog American hockey team that shocked the Soviet Union. 4-3. Two days later, on February 24, with all of America watching, the USA beat Finland, 4-2, to win the gold medal.
