    Description
    Lightfoot the deer appears on this commemorative plate, which was issued in 1979. Pairpoint cup plate shows Lightfoot standing in the Green Forest. Leaves and branches from the surrounding woodlands extend into the border of the plate. The character was introduced in 1922 as part of Thornton Burgess' Green Forest books. "The Adventures of Lightfoot the Deer" is the book most associated with this famous deer. The mould for this delightful plate was discontinued in 1981. About 3 1/2” across.
