    You are bidding on 8 page (6" x 9") autographed program of VAN CLIBURN'S (1934-2013) FIRST APPEARANCE in Carnegie Hall, October 16, 1958, Leonard Bernstein & New York Philharmonic following Cliburn's winning the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow in April 1958.
    The program included Cliburn playing Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No 3 in D minor, Op 30, Wallingford Riegger's-Music for Orchestra, Op 50, John J. Becker's-Symphonic Brevis (No. 3) and Carl Ruggles-Men and Mountains.
    1958 was the first year of Leonard Bernstein becoming principal conductor of New York Philharmonic.
