Carbon Rod Evaporation Unit
This unit has provided excellent results in all types of evaporators throughout the electron microscopy community for many years. A combination of ball-bearing motion in the chuck, gravity and long-arc spring-feed give uniform pressure that ensures a smooth, uniform advance of the carbon rod. This smooth motion allows use of a lower current, with a consequent reduction of radiant heat. Designed to hold 1/8" diameter carbon rods.
