It has 7 signatures by 4 musicians – signed twice by Du Pre, twice by Barenboim, twice by Murvitz and once by Commisiona.
The Du Pre signatures are clear – one on top of a charming photo of hers, the other on the Hebrew cover (right hand cover).
Booklet size is 24X17 cm, 9.5X6.5 inch.
Concert took place on 3.6.67, 3 days before the outbreak of the 6 Day War!!! That same month, immediately after the war, Du Pre and Barenboim got married near the Western Wall in Jerusalem, which was liberated several days earlier!!!
Very good condition, the programme was probably never touched since 1967. Very slight toning to edges of cover.
Du Pre was married to pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim, and converted to Judaism for this marriage. They got married in Jerusalem, in the Western Wall right after the 6 Day War (June 1967) and this concert took place 7 months later.
Du Pre's career was cut short by multiple sclerosis, which forced her to stop performing at the age of 28. She battled the illness for a further 14 years until her death at the age of 42.
