Honda Ct 70, SL 70, XL 70, and z50 Engine Rebuild
Note- The following is a breakdown of prices assuming there is no unseen major structural damage to the engine such as to the engine cases or other internal parts such as the crankshaft, transmission, etc. Typically, the major internals are in pretty good condition but there is always the possibility it may require replacement. In such cases an additional fee will be incurred to replace that part. I will alert the owner as to what it would cost to replace the part and if they would like to continue.
Engine Rebuild 100 point restore- 00
This is my complete 100 points engine restoration that will rebuild the motor cosmetically and mechanically. It includes everything in the first option and what is listed below. I will disassemble the motor, clean the parts, inspect the parts, replace all parts as necessary. The following is included in this option in addition to what is mentioned in rebuild option #1.
1. Engine cases and cylinder head will be glass bead blasted to remove all the corrosion and carbon buildup.
2. Cylinder itself will be blasted with a course abrasive media and then painted in a quality high temp gloss black paint. Engine covers will be blasted with abrasive media as well and painted in three stage automotive paint in the correct cloud silver color.
3. Motor will be assembled with new timing chain, valve and points clearances set, new piston rings, cylinder hone, new gasket and oil seal sets, new cam rollers and chain, all aluminum parts polished to mirror finish.
