    Description

    This is a handmade wall hanging quilt that I found at an estate sale in Southport, NC.  Quilt measures approx. 65'' wide and 52'' tall.   It has 12 squares, all different, but the primary colors are brown and pink.  The loop on back to put on dowel to hang is starting to come unstitched.  Needs a slight repair.  Front is in excellent preowned condition with no holes or stains.  Back is signed by two quilters who made it.  Dated 2003.  Quilt may have a few stray threads.
    The bottom right square is a commemorative square for President Lincoln and says 1853-2003 Sesquicentennial Lincoln, IL - 150 years.
    The back has a patch with a description of the quilt's squares and the names of the two women hand written with the date 8/15/2003.  One name is Ivy Koritz.  The other is harder to read, maybe Mabby Anna Jean Ballinger.
    This quilt has not been cleaned, it came right off the wall in the house that was being emptied.  It could used a dry cleaning.  House was a pet free, no smoking house.
