    Description

    You are bidding on autograph signature of Franz Liszt's second last surviving student, FREDERIC LAMOND (1868-1968), Scottish pianist.
    Pupil of Raff Conservatory from 1882, later spending a year with H. von Bulow and a year with F. Liszt. Debut Berlin 1885; London 1886.
    Taught for many years in Berlin from which he toured, especially noted for his Beethoven and Liszt.
    During long career had taught in Netherlands and in USA, finally returning to Scotland in 1940.
    Ervin Nyiregyhazi was one of his students.
    There are two unknown signatures on reverse: Ambroise and Selkirk Chapman.
