These Glass-Filled Polycarbonate snow stops, snow guards, snow birds, snow angels are simply clamped to the standing seam by two 5/16" stainless steel set screws with
locking detents
with a 9/16" wide and 15/16" deep slot
(see attached images). The reason for stainless steel screws is that aluminum is not strong enough and tends to rust through the plating over time.
We have these in
Black, Green, Dark Grey, Grey, Light Grey, Teal, Red, Dark Bronze/Brown, and Clear.
They come with the stainless-steel screws which are installed. The coloration is uniform in the product,
providing UV protection that will last significantly longer
then spray paints applied to an aluminum guard.
These Snow Guards are made from a Polycarbonate
often used in bullet proof glass and jet plane windshields
with added fiberglass making them not only more durable but also less expensive than the traditional aluminum guards. They have been tested and used for over
six years
