Up for auction today is an Original 1997 Led Zeppelin - BBC Sessions
"PROMO" Poster in NM-MINT Condition! This 27yr old Awesome poster measures 24" T x 18" Wide. These posters were sent to record stores for Promotional purposes and were not available for sale. Large stores were sent dozens for 3D display builds while small stores were sent one or two.
This poster came from Karma Records
- Bloomington (Indiana University), IN. They had a small interior display set up the night before the release date of November 11th, 1997. It appears it was never used due to there being zero damage from tape or pin holes anywhere.
Please see Pic #1 for a true representation of what it will look like on your wall. I had to be tricky using light because the silver is quite reflective.
I inquired with the sales staff about getting a poster when the display was taken down. I left my name & sometime in January/February of 1998 the display was taken down & thankfully a few posters were
waiting for me when I came back into the store. Poster has been stored flat
in a temperature controlled storage unit since the spring 1998. Now its time for another fan to have it...
Condition:
There are 2 items to note on this print:
1: There is a crease in the lower L hand corner (Pic #2).
2: Poster has a few rub marks around the edges from being stored flat with other Posters. These can easily be covered by matting while framing.
Based on Condition, I am giving this Poster an 9 out of 10.
