  • Condition: The wheels have some wear & some surface rust but still retain a considerable amount of their original red paint. There are no cracks, no chips, & no repairs. There are a couple of tiny casting flaws on the inside edge of one wheel which occurred when made.

    Description

    Two large original 1890's-1920's cast iron wheels for antique iron toys. One wheel has 16 spokes & the other wheel has 12 spokes. One wheel is still attached to its original 3 13/16 inches long axle. Besides the number of spokes each wheel is slightly different at the center. Each wheel is quite large & has a diameter of 3 5/8 inches. The wheels have some wear & some surface rust but still retain a considerable amount of their original red paint.
    There are no cracks, no chips, & no repairs. There are a couple of tiny casting flaws on the inside edge of one wheel which occurred when made. The total weight of the two wheels plus the axle is 5.7 ounces. We have had these in our antique toy parts box since the 1970's & finally figured it was time to sell them.
