Description

Two original 1890's-1920's cast iron wheels for antique iron toys. This is a matched pair of two exceptional & appealing wheels. These are quite large & measure 3 3/4 inches in diameter. Each has the spokes slanted in & the number of spokes is 14. The design slanting in of the spokes on these wheels creates a visually stylish & pleasing impression. Also, a count of 14 spokes is very infrequently encountered on iron toy wheels. The two wheels have some wear & a pleasing dark patina from age intermingled with a significant amount of the original red & silver paint.
There are no chips, no cracks, & no repairs. The total weight of the two wheels 7.3 ounces. We have had these in our antique toy parts box since the 1970's & finally figured it was time to sell them.
