The quartz has been dyed, but they are very pretty colors, red, blue, green purple. Even though each bead is alittle different, the average is 25x15x15mm. I bought these to make pendants out of, but what a necklace they would make. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this strand of beads and you are buying one strand of 14" beads.
